In celebration of the 2012 Arnold Palmer Invitational, where Tiger Woods had his seventh win at Bay Hill and first win on the PGA TOUR in 924 days, NBC Publishing and Golf Channel are pleased to offer this download of Palmer’s poignant essay, “Reflections on the Game.”
The essay is featured in the new eBook, Arnold Palmer A Personal Journey by Thomas Hauser with Arnold Palmer—a stunning tribute to an American sports hero and the most intimate portrait ever of the man behind the legend.
“I have always thought that, of all the books I have done, A Personal Journey was a particularly good one with its wonderful selection of pictures and the excellent text that accompanied the photos. I enjoyed working with Tom Hauser on the book and felt we created an interesting chronicle of my golfing career and my life.” —Arnold Palmer
Reflections on the Game eBook Thomas Hauser Arnold Palmer
Arnold Palmers essay cuts to the essence of what the game means to those of us that play and love golf. His comparison of golf to other sports is right on. He points out that this sport is unique in the way we self govern our own play enforcing the rules as need be. Lastly he talks about specific players that have impacted not only the game but the ordinary people they have come in contact with. I think anything that Mr. Palmer might write would only be him giving of himself because that's what he is all about.Product details

Reflections on the Game eBook Thomas Hauser Arnold Palmer Reviews
I respect anything Mr. Palmer has to say but this book was much too short. More like an essay in length.
love this book
Good quality story and compelling!
Good thoughts from a classic golfer. The essay is from 1994 so is a bit dated, but as a result also is a bit prophetic in ways the reader can see. A quick read most golfers will enjoy.
This was a quick read with very little to say about the great Arnold Palmer. He spoke of himself and the game which was nice but it seemed to be a quick book to make a quick buck.
NICE-but no story.Come on Arnold, give us some real stuff on your self and the game of your mastery-golf.I did appreciate the time taken to compliment golf and its development.
Why do we love to play the game? Arnold gives us his answer in this short essay from 1994. Interestingly, during a period when no one golfer stood out, he predicted that a great golfer would come along and beat everyone. The rest is history.
